Japanese fashion designer, DJ and entrepreneur Nigo, best known as the founder of legendary streetwear brand A Bathing Ape, was born in 1970. Nigo, who launched Human Made after leaving BAPE in 2013, is viewed as an innovator in fashion, art and culture worldwide. Nigo also specializes in womenswear. Nigo started his foray into the world of fashion by making t-shirts. In 1993, he launched BAPE which is known for its signature camo and ape logo. Since then Nigo has partnered with Pharrel to create Billionaire Boys Club, worked with French luxury house Louis Vuitton and sat as artistic director of Kenzo. Nigo’s extensive career expands beyond fashion. Nigo’s second studio album titled “I Know Nigo” features Asap Rocky, Pusha T and Lil Uzi Vert. The I Know Nigo album art was designed in collaboration with visionary artist Kaws. I Know Nigo merch is highly coveted for its graphic design and association with the streetwear legends.
