Bottega Veneta
Bottega Veneta was founded in 1966 by Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro in Vicenza, Italy. Due to the region's reputation for producing goods with fabrics, the sewing machines that were available were not suitable for leather. To work around this, Bottega Veneta was forced to use extremely fine leather, commonly used on gloves, on all of its items and weave the leather into a intrecciato pattern, making it stronger. This technique became the brand’s signature and has been seen on Bottega Veneta products since. While the leather bags have always been Bottega Veneta’s bread and butter, the boots have been particularly popular for the brand in the last decade.
