A seriously strong denim piece from the 2024 H&M x Basquiat x Ev Bravado & Téla D'Amore collaboration. This black denim combines a relatively clean five-pocket construction with a completely chaotic printed artwork running down the right leg.

The graphic references Basquiat's handwritten notebooks and research-like markings, including WORLD FAMOUS, THESIS, Vol. 1 and handwritten notes referencing Jean-Michel Basquiat and his artistic studies. The contrast between the understated black denim and the raw white handwritten artwork is exactly what makes these so good.

The collaboration's denim pieces were among its most distinctive garments, with Ev Bravado and Téla D'Amore using their recurring window and reconstructed-denim language to reinterpret Basquiat's work. This pair takes that same archival-art approach into a much more wearable five-pocket silhouette.
