Agolde, originally stylized A. Gold E., is a Los Angeles-based brand founded by Adriano Goldschmied and Ron Herman in 1993. The brand made a name for itself by ditching the blueprint that Levi’s created in an effort to make something the market was missing and being an outlet for Goldschmied and Herman’s more ambitious ideas. Big changes came for the brand in the 2010s when it changed ownership and brought on former Gap denim designer Erin Meehan. Since then, the brand has done collaborations with ASAP Ferg and Opening Ceremony, among others. After about three decades in the business, Agolde is still making big waves in denim and they’re definitely a brand to keep an eye on when looking for new jeans.
