Miyuki Kitahara is the renowned Japanese designer who headed Levi's experimental RED line from 2003 until it was discontinued in 2007. Levi's RED was Levi's most premium and avant-garde subline, known for deconstructed silhouettes, twisted seams, and architectural cuts. Kitahara's work on RED is now highly collectible and regarded as archive-level fashion.

After Levi's RED, Miyuki Kitahara went on to design for Miharayasuhiro, the cult Japanese fashion label known for deconstructed tailoring and distressed footwear. Her design DNA — twisted patterns, unconventional proportions, and reworked denim — is consistent across both RED and Miharayasuhiro.

Levi's RED pieces, especially early samples, are museum-grade and sought after by collectors globally.
