In the Fall Winter of 2014 Supreme and The North Face worked together on a special winter collection.
Exclusively made for Supreme - The North Face used their classic Mountain Light model as the basis for this collaboration. Incorporating their bold graphical elements Supreme used a bandana paisley design in three different colourways. This caused a lot of controversy upon its release due to the Red and Navy bandana prints resemblance of the famous Blood and Crip crime orientated gangs.
It is rumoured that the Red and Navy printed jackets took longer to sell out in the Los Angeles store where these gangs are notoriously active. Today, these paisley printed mountain lights have become one of the most popular and sought after items ever made by Supreme and The North Face. It was released 8 years ago at a time where Supreme was a relatively small company. Therefore the total amount released is very low and extremely hard to find.
