Used white Japanese Chuck Taylors. Quite a bit dirty, but the tread wear is minimal. Much better quality than the USA versions. See Rose Anvil's video review for more info about the made in Japan Chucks. It's a totally separate company, that has nothing to do with Nike. With regard to sizing, when you buy these from any Converse store in Japan, they will tell you to get a half a size smaller than your US size. So in this case, these fit like a 9 1/2 US.
