Stunning, highly collectible pair of genuine late-1960s Vintage Levi's 505-0217 straight-leg denim jeans. This pair features incredible historical details in a highly coveted, wearable vintage size. Beautifully preserved.

The Branding: Genuine pre-1971 double-sided "Big E" Red Tab.
The Factory Code: Highly sought-after single-digit "4" stamped cleanly into the back of the top waist button (Early US facility code).
The Stitching: Rare double rows of single-needle lockstitching running along the inside top edge of the back pockets (a brief late-60s construction variation).
The Hardware: Original premium heavy brass vintage Talon 42 auto-lock zipper fly.
The Denim: Gorgeous, dark uniform ink-indigo wash with magnificent original mid-century "hairy" fabric slub texture fully intact.

CONDITION NOTE: The original textured paper waist patch is perfectly intact and reads W30 L31. However, the bottom hem has been cut/altered to a stylish raw edge, bringing the actual physical measured inseam to 29”. The denim itself is structurally magnificent, exceptionally sturdy, and shows virtually zero signs of fabric wear or dry rot, except at the raw bottom edge where there are a few abrasions (see photos). The bottom 6-7 inches of the inside leg seams have also been hand-stitched (see photos). Pre-dates federal care tags.
