Seller Description
Rare early-era Y-3 Yohji Yamamoto x adidas archive chain wallet.
Originally purchased in Japan around the mid-2000s and kept for approximately two decades.
A distinctive piece from the early period of Y-3, combining Yohji Yamamoto’s minimalist design language with the utilitarian / sportswear approach that defined the first years of the adidas collaboration.
Black zip-around wallet construction with tonal embossed Y-3 branding and original heavy metal wallet chain with clip attachment.
Details:

The design has a strong early-2000s Japanese archive aesthetic — somewhere between avant-garde fashion, utilitarian accessories, biker styling and early techwear.
Pre-owned vintage condition with visible patina, surface wear and signs of age throughout. The wear gives the piece considerable character but please inspect all photographs carefully for exact condition.
The wallet and chain remain together as originally acquired.
A particularly interesting piece for collectors of early Y-3, Yohji Yamamoto, Japanese archive fashion and experimental 2000s designer accessories.
Very difficult to find in this configuration, particularly with the wallet chain still present.
