W&LT Men's Overalls & Jumpsuits

W&LT (pronounced Walt) was a Belgian fashion brand founded in 1993 by Walter Van Beirendonck. Based in Antwerp, W&LT was a predecessor to Van Beirendonck's eponymous label, known for its use of graphic prints, bright colors and provocative designs. W&LT is short for Wild & Lethal Trash and ran for six years until 1999. As a member of the infamous Antwerp Six, Van Beirendonck used irreverent cartoon elements in his label, standing out from the more subdued designs of his fellow Royal Academy graduates like Dries Van Noten and Van Beirendonck’s partner Dirk van Saene. Although W&LT was relatively short-lived, ending with the "Hi Sci Fi" collection for Spring/Summer 1999, the brand remains popular among cognoscenti, with vintage W&LT clothing being offered for high prices.
