Riccardo Tisci

Born in 1974, Italian designer Riccardo Tisci is best known for his work at French luxury house Givenchy and British fashion label Burberry. After graduating from the prestigious London-based Central Saint Martins fashion school, Tisci cut his teeth working for Puma and Coccapani. In 2005, Tisci was named creative director of Givenchy. In 2018, Tisci was appointed creative director of heritage British label Burberry. Tisci’s Burberry is known for its refreshingly modern and oftentimes unisex take on the house’s vast archives. Riccardo Tisci’s time at Givenchy is known for its heavy use of black, animal imagery and gothic details. Riccardo Tisci-designed hoodies and short sleeve t-shirts are known for their eye-catching graphic elements and expert constructions. The designer has frequently worked with sportswear giant Nike to design exclusive Riccardo Tisci x Nike shoe styles. The limited run of Riccardo Tisci-designed Air Force 1 styles were first released in 2014.
