Le Coq Sportif was founded in Aube, France in 1882 by Emile Camuset. Though originally opened as a hosiery workshop, it released its first catalogue in 1929, full of sportswear and a jersey specifically for cyclists. 10 years later, Le Coq Sportif made another huge innovation in the world of sportswear by introducing the sweatsuit. In 1951, Le Coq Sportif became the official supplier of cycling jerseys for the Tour de France, cementing its status as the most important brand in cycling. Decades later, the brand is still around and still making quality cycling jerseys in addition to sweatshirts and T-shirts.
