Gosha Rubchinskiy tops
A Russian fashion designer, filmmaker and photographer, Gosha Rubchinskiy debuted his namesake label in 2008. Influenced by the fall of the Iron Curtain, youth culture and art, Rubchinskiy transitioned from selling signature streetwear drops into presenting fully realized collections starting in 2014 (after merging under the helm of CDG and Dover Street Market exec). With the type of cult-like following that garners long sidewalk cues with every release, Rubchinskiy represents the currently raging moment in menswear where worlds of streetwear and high fashion continue to mix and match into more singular perspectives—blurring a combination of subcultural references, era-defining signifiers and classic sartorial notions into the lens of future-forward ideals. One of the most interesting designers of this decade, for sure. Look for collaborations with the likes of Dr. Martens, Levi’s, Burberry and Reebok.
