Dsquared2 was founded by twin Torontonian brothers Dan and Dean Caten in 1995. The two attended Parsons School of Design in New York City before moving to Italy to start the brand. While Dsquared2 started as a denim line, the brothers drew a lot of attention to the brand by dressing some of the biggest pop stars in the world like Madonna, Christina Aguilera and Beyoncé. These superstar endorsements built the profile of Dsquared2 tremendously. These days, the celebrity endorsements have turned into partnerships as Dsquared2 has had an ongoing collaboration with October’s Very Own.
