Louis Vuitton × Virgil Abloh

After achieving success with his Nike collaboration as well as with his labels Pyrex Vision and Off-White, American designer Virgil Abloh was hired as the first Black Artistic Director at Louis Vuitton in 2018.

Leading the menswear division at LV, Abloh brought his modern deconstructive streetwear approach to the French luxury label, including signature design elements like words in quotation marks and colorful zip ties. Although the tenure sadly ended prematurely after Abloh's surprising death, the legacy continues through coveted archival pieces such as Louis Vuitton x Virgil Abloh t-shirts and jackets like the ones made in collaboration with NIGO in 2020.
