A beautiful piece from Dior Homme, designed during the influential era of Hedi Slimane. The trousers date to Fall/Winter 2005 “In the Morning”, one of Slimane’s most iconic periods, where razor-sharp tailoring met rock-inspired minimalism.

Crafted from very fine black corduroy, the fabric has developed a stunning black–grey sheen over time. Depending on the light it shifts between deep black and a slightly greyish, almost glossy tone — a beautiful wash typical for well-aged cord. The pants feature the iconic dart detailing on the back pockets, a subtle but recognizable Dior Homme design signature of that era.

The piece has been well worn and loved, with several repairs over time. The right leg hem was repaired by me, done as faithfully as possible to the original construction. Other small repairs and irregularities add a certain boho / worn-in character — it’s hard to say whether some of these elements were part of the original Dior finishing or added later, but they give the trousers a unique patina. The button is slightly torn out, but it can be repaired by a tailor. It’s not the button itself that’s damaged, but the surrounding fabric.
