U.S.C. LTD ICONIC WWII USMC P-44 60'S REPRO MONKEY PANTS TROUSERS

These trousers are a commercial reproduction of the legendary United States Marine Corps P-44 utility trousers, colloquially known as 'monkey pants.' First issued in 1944 during the Pacific Campaign of World War II, the original design was celebrated for its distinctive three-pocket layout, which included two large forward thigh pockets and a voluminous rear pouch originally intended to carry an emergency poncho or field rations. Original wartime examples were constructed from olive drab herringbone twill, this civilian adaptation is rendered in durable khaki cotton twill by manufacturer U.S.C., Ltd. The P-44 remains one of the most recognizable and coveted trouser silhouettes in military history, inspiring countless interpretations across vintage reproduction and modern streetwear.
