Here is available for purchase a Maison Martin Margiela "FRAGILE" Artisanal Tape Leather Pumps

Museum worthy piece. A fashion pair of shoes turned into an artwork.

Typical of the artisanal process and conceptual approach Margiela is known for today, the pumps are basically leather, but were for the occasion, all covered by hand by Martin's team with "Fragile" tapes all over each shoe (we use this tape to prevent that a parcel needs to be carefully handled). We also find the classical blank insole.

Each pair that you find on the market is different and therefore unique. As seen on the runway, at Palais Galliera and other fashion museums or big private collections. Among the most iconic pieces ever made in the house's history.

A true important piece of contemporary fashion history that can be either worn, or kept and stored as a work of art.

Size : 40 it women. Heel height: 6.5cm approx, total height: 10cm approx.

Condition : Used good worn condition. Obviously, due to the handmade artisanal nature of the piece, the latest shows inevitable signs of wear and some tape parts are slightly falling apart but nothing important (can be repaired though!). The pumps seem to be quite fragile too, so be careful if you want to wear them. Please check carefully all pictures to understand the condition of these shoes. A wearable art piece.
