VINTAGE 1970s HANDCRAFTED ETHIOPIAN LEATHER MACBOOK PRO BRIEFCASE R$1898

This is one of the most intensely handcrafted leather briefcases I have come across in quite some time. Nearly every visible detail on this bag reveals the touch of a true artisan. The hand-laced leather stitching throughout is extraordinary; not decorative machine stitching meant to imitate craftsmanship, but actual labor-intensive hand construction performed one section at a time.

The edges, seams, pockets, gussets, and structural panels all display meticulous leather lacing work that would have required tremendous patience and skill. Even the closure system itself avoids metal hardware almost entirely, relying instead on ingenious leather craftsmanship and old-world design sensibilities. Aside from the zipper, nearly everything about this piece feels born directly from the hands of a craftsman rather than a factory.

This style strongly resembles artisan leatherwork associated with Ethiopia and other regions known historically for deeply traditional leather craftsmanship during the 1960s and 1970s. Whether this exact piece originated there or nearby, it unmistakably carries the soul of that era and philosophy of workmanship; slow-made, durable, deeply human craftsmanship from a world very different than modern mass production.

Remarkably, the condition is stunning. The leather remains rich, structured, and incredibly clean, almost appearing unused. The warm chestnut brown leather paired with the lighter hand-laced trim creates an absolutely timeless aesthetic.

I added one of my signature luxury moose hide leather handle wraps in a contrasting natural tone. The feel of genuine moose hide is almost impossible to explain properly until held in the hand. It is incredibly supple, thick, soft, and luxurious, transforming the carry experience completely.
