Coveted Rare $7,000 w/tax LOEWE Taupe Suede Shearling Aviator Jacket, Artisan Craftsmanship, Stunning Details (see tailoring note)

LOEWE is consistently one of the hottest luxury brands in recent years (currently #2 on the Q3 2024 top fashion brands list). This piece is the perfect example why – as you can see the level of detail and execution is just superb!

Their esteemed Creative Director JW Anderson, one of the most revered designers out there today. He’s been in the running to take over CHANEL, but seems happy with what they have been building at LOEWE. The house was established in Madrid in 1846 – “178 Years of Craft” specializing in leather goods. Their storied clientele has long included celebrities, cultural luminaries and influential Royalty.

Spain has long been a luxury industry secret for their impeccable artisan leather craftsmanship, on full display here. If you’ve seen any of the Pegai / Tanner Leatherstein videos where he tears apart luxury bags to see which ones are worth the money, you’ll know he discovered these masters in Ubrique Spain and moved his operations there to partner with them.

As a diehard TOM FORD fan it’s rare that I step outside the brand, but I was intrigued and added a few LOEWE jackets to my collection. Being able to directly compare them to others like TF, Hermes, Prada, and Bottega Veneta, I couldn’t be more impressed!

This LOEWE shearling aviator inspired outerwear is Godly! Especially this incredible rare taupe colorway. Selling this for a friend, and I’m tempted to buy it, but I ran out of space after my girlfriend and her daughter moved in.

Shearling jackets are one of the coolest, most time-tested looks out there – worn by a “who’s who” of A-List style icons regularly featured in GQ, Esquire, MR PORTER and similar (see photo reference). I’m always shocked more guys don’t have them in their arsenal. Every time I wear them I receive compliments, especially from women! I think most guys are under the mistaken impression they are only for arctic climates (I wear them here in So Cal all the time – most the year round, and most evenings it’s cool enough).

SIZE/TAILORING NOTE
I'm 6 feet, 180lbs for fit pic reference. I'm typically a comfortable size 50 EU (40 US) and fitted 48 (38 US). My tailor said I’m a natural 21 inch chest, 18 inch shoulder and 25 inch shoulder-to-wrist for fit pic reference.

This is a tag size 50 IT. My friend invested extra with a top tailor to shorten the sleeves slightly which improved the silhouette and comfort (see photos). See below for measurements.
