This ARMY GABARDINE PLEATS SKIRT PANTS is made from a substantial wool fabric with a military-inspired texture, presenting the wide silhouette, structural weight, and layered black drape often seen in the Yohji Yamamoto design language.

The fabric surface features a pronounced twill weave, giving it a thicker and drier hand compared with lighter gabardine fabrics. The black tone is not flat or plain; it shifts subtly with the pleats, fabric folds, and changes in light, creating layered shadows and depth. When worn, the fabric maintains a clear structure without feeling overly soft or limp.

The silhouette sits between a skirt and trousers. From the front, it appears like a wide pleated skirt, while the inner construction retains the function of pants. As the wearer moves, the space between the skirt-like panels and trouser structure becomes visible, creating a natural sense of movement. The large pleats extend from below the waist, forming clean vertical lines. At rest, the shape feels composed and grounded; in motion, the pleats open and close naturally, giving the piece more visual tension than ordinary wide trousers.

The waist is designed with a generous fit and can be adjusted with a belt or through the waist construction to control the position and volume.
