This is an ultra-rare piece from a friend who works for TOM FORD. In all the years I’ve assiduously followed TF, I’ve never seen this before. There was a brown version that showed up briefly on Mr Porter and Mytheresa, but they went quickly. I’ve never seen one since; much less in the ultimate BLACK colorway!

Inspiration for this came from TOM FORD himself. One quickly begins to notice outside his iconic black suit, that his favorite personal look nearly always features a black field jacket like this (he’s famous for black, but at times shifts to brown). He did a video with the esteemed MR PORTER called “Mr Tom Ford’s Six Rules of Style” (see reference photos — If you’re at all considering this, definitely Google it and watch it). What is most intriguing, is for the man who has impeccably designed everything, his personal taste comes down to just these two essential looks!

Just the normal versions for any Tom Ford fan are arguably his best signature piece to own – they are highly coveted and hard to find. This one is even better and more unique – it integrates his press studs on the pockets and wrists, along with a new collar style and details! The silhouette is just perfection!

Retail on these are over $10K w/tax. This is the most desired color in black because it goes with everything! Some versions of these have construction that is more loose and floppy; this version has a bit more structure to keep the shape and silhouette sharp.

You can easily dress these up or down, wearing it in a variety of ways, open, buttoned, collar up or down – it all looks amazing!
