A-List Celebrity RARE $5,000 TOM FORD Black Lizard Boots, Made In Italy, Godly Details, 10.5 US

All TOM FORD is rare, but every now and then he takes things stratospheric to the realm where only A-List celebs and Hedge Fund managers can afford these ultra rare, coveted boots. Guys, we all know the first thing women look at / judge you by is your shoes. Take the money you’d invest in another watch and invest it on these, trust me, you’ll thank me later! You can easily keep replacing the custom protective soles to make these last for a long time.

Tom has said he loved designing in black because you are forced to the very essence of the piece – the silhouette, the material and most of all, the texture. Texture is what makes these pieces stand out on dates and at night with the lighting, and nothing telegraphs like this lizard! (see photos) I used to think these exotic skins were too much until I tried them on and watched them make the outfit! The subtle texture enhances the overall look – something Tom obviously agrees with as he’s designed these across his collections over the years. I love that it’s understated, but refined, and everyone knows the elite price these exotic materials command.

Selling these for a friend and I think he’s crazy to let these coveted boots go – I have the same pair and it’s right up there for my most beloved and most complimented pair. Every time I wear these they get an effusive, positive reaction and they go with everything; it becomes a no-brainer going out to throw these on (see my personal style reference photos – just a couple out of endless examples).

What is especially great is that all women love tall men – even short women prefer tall men. My fiance is 5’10 and most of my past girlfriends have all been 5’10 - 5’11”. Of course women love to wear high heels out so it’s easy to get dwarfed! With these you’ll retain that height advantage and look slimmer. TOM FORD loves this heel design because in his words “it extends the line of the leg in proportion keeping an ideal masculine silhouette.” This makes sense as these are really like the upscale luxury version of cowboy boots which men and movie stars have worn forever, and we all know how great they look! Just think back to Gary Cooper, Steve McQueen, Redford, Newman, John Wayne, etc. in all those Westerns.

These were $5,000 w/LA tax. I have a TF lizard pair of double monks with the box, which retailed for $4,500 w/tax. As you can see from the reference, even the sneaker version was $4K. Tom used to use these real exotic skins in his collections. I have both the newer “croc effect” ones and other real ones, and there’s just no comparison (see photos).

These Tom Ford shoes are the height of luxury. These are an absolute masterpiece commanding attention without screaming. Tom’s stunning attention to detail throughout. These are guaranteed to attract attention and compliments every time you sit down anywhere.

Mr Tom Ford’s design philosophy is simple: don’t settle for anything less than perfection. And that maxim applies as much to a plain cotton T-shirt as it does a wool barathea tuxedo with all the trimmings. Achieving perfection, of course, is harder than it looks.

Tom Ford shoes are just incredibly sexy – it’s what Tom is famous for! Tom got his degree in architecture from Parsons and notes that his shoes are like architecture – they can stand on their own, you have to get the proportions just right, the balance of the heel to the toe, the slope, etc.

A favorite anecdote Tom shared was being a child around age 4 having gotten a new pair of shoes and obsessing about the shape of the toe being “wrong” by a couple millimeters. He said “perfectionism is almost an illness with me”, but it’s why he’s the ultimate designer for me and why I’ve upgraded nearly my entire wardrobe to his line. I’ve been fortunate to have owned and tried most all the elite brands and have decided I want to live in Tom Ford.

These have very minimal wear (you can see from the heels). My friend invested extra in having a master cobbler with over 30 years experience add protection so they will last longer and you can easily keep these going for many years to come just replacing this. He even followed the natural curve of the design; a perfectionist artisan touch that would make Tom proud.
