There are truly special pieces that come along once in a lifetime – this is one of them!

The Andy is Berluti’s most iconic loafer and this ultra-rare version with the stunning Alligator bar is the most striking pair of shoes I’ve ever seen! These just “make” any outfit you pair it with. Even better, this has Berluti’s world-famous (and the originators of) artisan hand patina applied for their signature coveted burnishing. It adds depth, dimension and character while creating a jaw-dropping aesthetic. This is why they look equally amazing dressed up with sartorial looks, or going casual with jeans – they elevate everything around them, it’s the “halo effect” of having elite footwear!

– Everyone knows the exclusivity, rarity and price of Alligator (the full Alligator versions go for around $14,000!) The regular Andy loafers go for just under $3K w/tax. There is absolutely no mistaking the real thing compared to the cheap embossed versions.

In fact, I was so inspired, I put together a design deck showcasing the process after acquiring some pairs of my own (see photos).

As much of a diehard TOM FORD fan as I am, BERLUTI quality is just unreal. My tailor agreed and she has worked on everything! She couldn’t believe the craftsmanship and attention to detail. She shortened the sleeves a touch on a Berluti suede jacket for me and told me inside it had four layers going on. Even more unbelievable, she said where most brands cut corners in places people would never view, Berluti actually went the extra mile and ADDED details no one will ever see! We found this again opening up a quilted puffer section I wanted her to slim down and it had four levels and layers of stitching inside one simple quilted panel! That tells you everything you need to know. These are literal works of art! (see photo reference for their renowned artisan craftsmanship).

BERLUTI have been around since 1895 and are world famous for their hand burnished patina on their shoes. It’s become a signature of quality, often imitated, but no one can match their skill and execution. I can only imagine the endless hours of elbow grease that went into creating this masterpiece (evident in the price). It will continue to develop a personal patina with wear that looks rugged and masculine.

Selling this for an industry friend. It would be a dream to add these to my collection, but unfortunately not my size.

SIZE NOTE
My friend is a size 8.5 US. These are size 8.5 US / 7.5 UK per the handwritten note under the vamp. He said they don’t fit him anymore as his feet have now gotten bigger with age and weight. He was too precious with them so he never really wore them except briefly, so they are near new. His feet at the time were approximately 10 3/8th inches long by 3.75 inches wide. This is the most accurate way to gauge vs the outer measurements (by design I think the tip extends beyond the natural foot placement further back).
