Very Very very cool Italian designer brand existing from mid 90s to early 2000s. Their focus was a futuristic approach to fashion, using technically advanced fabrics and sophisticated garment constructions (mainly jackets).One of their first and most famous jackets was made in collaboration with NASA. Because of this approach, Mauro Taliani could be called the new Massimo Osti of the branch.

Take this jacket as an example. It’s obvious that it took inspiration from Helmut Lang’s 90s Astro Jacket, but Taliani’s approach pushes the design to the next level. This is an Astro Jacket on steroids.

Starting with the fabric selection — the main fabric is a shiny gold cotton metallic fiber that lights up beautifully when it catches the light. The front is made of skin leather or its high-quality synthetic alternative. The inner side features thick faux fur, the softest I’ve ever had in hand. All the seams and asymmetrical Riri double zippers clearly reference Lang’s Astro Jacket. It’s finished with bendable metal inside the fluffy collar, allowing you to shape it and set it however you want.
