Ultimate TOM FORD $6,300 w/tax Navy Suede Lamb Leather / Complex Waffle Knit Moto Zip, Impeccable Details, Made In Italy

Even with as many jackets as I have, my “go to” for casual around the house and quick errands are these TOM FORD suede moto knits. You get the look and feel of a jacket with the stretch and comfort of a knit. Especially in a time where leisure and athleisure has been soaring, these are a perfect add to your wardrobe. I especially love these beyond bland hoodies and sweatshirts because they look and feel elevated.

Like all of Tom Ford’s work the fit on this is perfection right off the rack. The suede is smooth with an incredible hand. This classic Tom Ford Harrington style is one of the coolest and most flattering designs out there. It has an unbelievably intricate complex waffle knit you can see in the detail photos, and the version Will Smith is wearing. The silver Tom Ford hardware zips and leather tab snaps at the pockets add the perfect finishing touch. You can see from the inner collar details just how much went into this and it also features a leather trim inner section with a snap pocket.

This is from a high point era I feel Tom was doing his best work. The similar version Patrick Dempsey is wearing (see photos) retailed for $4,400 w/LA tax, but these more intricate knits were over $6K (see early price ref of the same leather versions). I have a ton of these and love wearing the double zips half up / half down the way the Italians do (see fit pic), and how Tom styles them in his lookbooks. This also helps add comfort when seated and shows off your belt investments.

Mr Tom Ford’s design philosophy is simple: don’t settle for anything less than perfection.

“Menswear is a detail-driven business”

This is perhaps the most Mr Tom Ford-esque of Mr Ford’s statements. Mr Ford’s dogged commitment to perfectionism is renowned. And details? Well, those are the things that keep said business running. Tom said he’s so proud of the construction of his garments he can’t help showing people the incredible stitching and craftsmanship in his offerings -- he’s a Virgo who suffers from their trademark perfectionism. He said it’s almost an “illness” in him. When asked why he doesn’t create a more affordable line, he answered he just can’t help himself from doing things at the highest level. If you’re lucky enough to have any of his pieces in your wardrobe, you know this to be true and we’re all the luckier for him creating these. His work has come to dominate my closet.

Selling this for a friend. I’d buy it, but my girlfriend and her daughter moved in and I’m out of room. While I’ve owned many high end leather jackets over the years, nothing else fits or feels like a Tom Ford: the fit through the body and shoulders creates that idealized masculine V-taper and the details are just jaw-dropping.

I'm 6 feet, 192 lbs for fit pic reference. I'm typically a comfortable size 50 EU (40 US) and fitted 48 (38 US). My tailor said I’m a natural 21 inch chest, 18 inch shoulder and 25 inch shoulder-to-wrist for fit pic reference.
This is a size 50 IT and ideal on me. See measurements below.

Shoulder-to-shoulder: n/a due to raglan style, (I’m an 18 inch shoulder per my tailor for fit pic ref)
Shoulder-to-sleeve: approx 28 inches (designed to be rolled up to taste)
Overall length: approx 26 inches from base of collar (angles up in back per design)
