Vintage amber tortoise acetate eyeglasses in the classic Tart Arnel silhouette. Unbranded frames with the highly desirable mid-century horn-rimmed profile, keyhole bridge, and diamond rivet details. Rich translucent tortoise coloration with beautiful depth and glow in light. Unable to confirm whether these are made by Tart Optical or not but the silhouette very much matches the vintage style Tart Arnel, not the modern Julius Tart model.

Marked 44 eye, 22 bridge, and 5 3/4 temple length. Frames present very well overall. One temple sits slightly lifted when resting flat and could be adjusted during lens installation or by an optician. Hinges are tight and functional. Desirable size.

This is the iconic American optical shape associated with mid-century eyewear design and widely collected for both wear and display. Excellent candidate for prescription lenses or sunglasses.
