Complete ceremonial kit for traditional matcha preparation
This is a complete, handmade matcha set, assembled for preparing matcha in the traditional way — without shortcuts, without decorative excess.
Every element in this set has a clear purpose. Nothing is extra.
What’s included
Chawan (抹茶碗) – handmade matcha bowl for preparation
The primary bowl used for whisking matcha. Its shape allows proper wrist movement and even foam formation.
2x Yunomi (湯のみ) – two handmade tea cups
One in a deep blue glaze, one in green. Intended for drinking after preparation, or for sharing. Each cup has its own character and weight.
Chasen (茶筅) – bamboo whisk, imported from Japan
Traditional bamboo whisk used to aerate matcha and create a fine, smooth foam. Essential for correct texture and taste.
Chashaku (茶杓) – bamboo tea scoop
Used to measure matcha powder precisely, lifting it lightly without compressing.
Furui (ふるい) – matcha sifter with stand
Used to sift matcha powder before preparation, preventing clumps and ensuring a smooth, even whisk.
A note on this matcha set:
This set was made for our store, that decision was intentional.
I deeply respect Japanese culture and the traditions around tea. Matcha is not an aesthetic, a trend, or a lifestyle accessory — it’s a practice built on repetition, restraint, and attention. Adding our name to the bottom of the cups just felt right.
When I’m not working with clothing, tea is my thing.
It’s how I slow down, how I reset, how I stay grounded when everything else moves fast. Preparing matcha correctly — with the right tools, the right water temperature, the right pace — is part of that rhythm.
