Description
Original vintage Schott Perfecto steerhide leather motorcycle jacket dating approximately from the mid-1960s to early 1970s based on label era and construction.
This is a genuine vintage rider piece with authentic natural wear developed over decades of use. Not a reproduction.
The jacket has been stored for many years and remains structurally excellent.
⸻
Leather Condition
• Genuine heavyweight steerhide
• Strong, healthy leather throughout
• No rot
• No structural cracking
• No damage to hide integrity
The surface shows natural vintage patina and fine creasing from real wear, not neglect.
Very light dryness visible mainly on the back collar area only — cosmetic and typical for age. Leather remains supple and solid.
⸻
Cleaning
The jacket has already been lightly cleaned:
• Surface dust removed
• Leather wipe applied
• Fully dried
• No residue
Now presents clean with a strong natural leather scent.
No heavy conditioning or restoration has been applied so the buyer may preserve or treat to preference.
⸻
Hardware & Zippers
• All zippers fully functional
• Front main zipper works smoothly
• Chest pockets functional
• Sleeve zippers functional
Note:
Right sleeve zipper has a small section where the zipper tape has come slightly unstitched from the leather edge. The zipper itself works perfectly and the leather is strong. This is an easy restitch if desired but has been left original.
