This is a Fukuro Obi belt with a floral pattern, woven with gold and silver threads, produced during the Showa era in Japan.

Gold and silver threads are intricately woven into the base fabric, with floral motifs arranged across the entire surface of the obi.
The repeating pattern structure reveals subtle variations in thread usage throughout different sections.

Depending on the angle of light, the expressions of the gold and silver threads shift, creating changes in texture and appearance.

Today, pieces such as this are also used for interior decoration and display, as well as collected as examples of traditional Japanese textile craftsmanship.
In recent years, interest in Japanese vintage textiles has been increasing overseas, and woven works like Fukuro Obi — combining both decorative and structural qualities — are often appreciated for interior use and as collectible pieces.
