The bear is carved by hand from natural wood with clear, expressive detailing visible in the fur, face, and posture. The craftsmanship reflects traditional folk carving techniques. An original handwritten inscription on the barrel lid dates the piece to 1977 and reads (translated):
“Congratulations on the celebration. Wishing happiness and good health.”
