Seller Description
Snufkin is one of the most beloved characters from the Moomin stories, created by Finnish author and illustrator Tove Jansson. Known for his nomadic lifestyle, philosophical outlook, and love for music (his harmonica) and freedom, Snufkin has a massive cult following, especially in Japan.
This specific piece is licensed by Moomin Characters / Bulls / TX / TS, which indicates it was produced for the Japanese market during the 1990s anime revival of the series (Tanoshii Muumin Ikka).
Description
Step back into Moomin Valley with this incredibly rare 1990 vintage Snufkin sweatshirt. This isn't your standard graphic print; the illustration of Snufkin is uniquely composed of calligraphic text repeating his name to form the silhouette.
The inner neck tag features a woven Snufkin design with the phrase "He Loves Freedom," perfectly capturing the character's essence. This is an authentic Japanese vintage find, perfect for collectors of Moomin memorabilia or 90s streetwear.
