A Menswear Grail, Ultra-Rare $15,000 BRUNELLO CUCINELLI Full Shearling Jacket – Tom Ford, Purple Label Aesthetic

Cucinelli is renowned for their quality, which is reflected in the insane prices at the top of the industry. The detail and quality on this everywhere you look are insane. Shearling jackets aren’t cheap, but Cucinelli is right up at the Zenith. It can give you pause when these all retail between $15,000 – $16,500 w/tax (see reference), however, seeing what goes into crafting these masterpieces (Google “Meet the Makers, Brunello Cucinelli” by MRPORTER – see reference photos) you’ll understand.

In all the years of following CUCINELLI on the market and assembling an archive of looks, I’ve never seen this piece! I’ve seen similar (see reference), but this tonal black-on-black is an absolute stunner!

The details throughout are Godly:
– The gleaming Cucinelli branded press studs throughout
– The gleaming double zips option to close and also wear half up / half down when sitting or like the Italians do showcasing their sprezzatura!
– The amazing snaps option tabs at the rear panels to tighten or relax the silhouette.
– The signature Cucinelli leather tab sewn into the neck creating the iconic “X” pattern on the back (an “if you know, you know” nod to those with a discerning eye for Brunello)
– The stunning quality leather with its revered texture.
– The full shearling lining while maintaining a slimming silhouette!

Shearling jackets are one of the coolest, most time-tested looks out there – worn by a “who’s who” of A-List style icons regularly featured in GQ, Esquire, MR PORTER and similar. I’m shocked more guys don’t have them in their arsenal. Every time I wear them I receive compliments, especially from women! I think most guys are under the mistaken impression they are only for Siberian / Antarctic climates (I wear them here in So Cal all the time -- most the year round and most evenings it’s easily cool enough). The other reason I suspect is that so many of these full shearling lined jackets tend to add bulk and make you look like the Michelin Man, ha. Most of these silhouettes DO look thick and boxy. Finding and investing in the right designer Cucinelli makes all the difference!

I’m selling this for a friend and it’s extremely tempting, but I have some TF. Despite my affinity for TOM FORD, I’ve acquired a number of Cucinelli pieces, all of which maintained this elite level of construction. His catalogs are works of art, and everything he does is summed up in this quote below...

I'm 6 feet, 194lbs for fit pic reference. I'm typically a comfortable size 50 EU (40 US) and fitted 48 (38 US). My tailor said I’m a natural 21 inch chest, 18 inch shoulder and 25 inch shoulder-to-wrist for fit pic reference. This is a size M. See below for measurements.
