Balenciaga x V&A One Seam Coat Origami

The origami was presented exclusively in 2018 at the "Master of Couture" exhibition of Balenciaga in collaboration with the V&A Museum in London and the McCord Museum in Montreal Canada.

I bought the origami during my Canada vacation in 2018 and brought it with me to Germany.

History of the Balenciaga One Seam Coat:

Cristobal Balenciaga was famous for his unconventional pattern making.  He avoided side-seams and sought to find ways to let fabrics drape and fall around a body regardless of traditional slopers and patterns.

A famous design of his is the One Seam Coat.

The Famous V&A Museum re-produced this pattern in smaller scale on thick paper. Visitors of the Balenciaga exhibit could pick up one of them.

You will receive a new Oregami which you can build together yourself at home using the instructions.
