Best Dressed Ultra-Rare $3,000 w/Tax TOM FORD Grey Silk Blend Double Zip Hoodie, Impeccable Details, Made In Italy

My favorite designer TOM FORD is constantly styling his looks with these double-zip hoodies and they always look amazing. Selling this ultra-rare “pre-sample” (per the tags) sample for a friend – it never made it into production that I can see.

It’s listed as a stunning pewter colorway. There’s not a materials tag in this pre-sample, but it’s obvious if you know TF from the hand and subtle sheen that it’s a silk blend. That silk is instantly recognizable and my favorite in TOM FORD knitwear. I always look for it when adding to my collection. I love how it feels, drapes and catches the light. Tom obviously loved silk blends as well and integrated them into his knitwear every season.

These elevated silk blends go for a premium and you can see why. You can tell from the close-up photos just how soft and luxurious this piece is. What I especially love is the intricate stitch details throughout; it’s these little details that elevate pieces like this with Tom’s obsessive focus on them.

It features gleaming rare gunmetal hardware with double zips so you can wear it half up / half down the way the Italians do and Tom Ford styles his looks. I especially love the little details like the little charcoal metallic hardware tips of the drawstrings.

Especially in a time where leisure and athleisure has been soaring, this is a perfect add to your wardrobe. It also makes a perfect layering piece under bigger jackets/coats when cold; which is often how Tom Ford styles them in their lookbooks, but it looks equally stunning on it’s own.

These silk blends are the high end of Tom’s offerings and retailed for $3K w/LA tax (see price ref).

Please note: this may be womens, but is easily unisex. There’s no difference to the same ones I have in my collection like this. It also fits me well as you can see – despite the XS tag, it fits almost exactly like the mens size 50 in another grey silk blend knit like this I have listed here.

I'm 6 feet, 194lbs for fit pic reference. I'm typically a comfortable size 50 EU (40 US) and fitted 48 (38 US). My tailor said I’m a natural 21 inch chest, 18 inch shoulder and 25 inch shoulder-to-wrist for fit pic reference. Per the above, this is a tag size XS, but fits me well like the TOM FORD reference (see style inspiration “fit reference” for these types of hoodies Tom made).
