This is because the jacket has 6 buttons on the front,
allowing you to change the position of the buttons in 3 different locations.
When the buttons are fastened all the way in, the waist creates a draping effect.
These details are not visible when hanging on a hanger; they are only visible when worn.
The draping also appears at the back.

When we talk about Yohji Yamamoto's drape,
we often refer to how the fabric moves in the wind,
or how it moves during movement.
The real value of this jacket lies in your ability to manipulate the drape.
Moving it from its deepest button position to one side creates a softer, more flowing drape.

Then, if you move it to the other side again,
the drape disappears,
becoming a loose-fitting, symmetrical jacket.
