2024–2025 Autumn/Winter Collection – “3WAY Wrap Pants”

For the 2024–2025 Autumn/Winter season, Ground Y introduces an innovative wrap pants design that fuses the structure of trousers with the fluidity of a skirt. Featuring adjustable waist straps and fabric ties, this piece allows for endless styling possibilities and embodies Yohji Yamamoto’s signature aesthetic of asymmetry and movement.

The layered construction, formed by overlapping fabrics on both sides, creates a dynamic drape that flows beautifully with every motion. As its name suggests, the “3WAY” design offers three distinctive silhouettes:

- Draped Skirt Style: Let the outer panel fall freely for a long-shirt layering effect.
- Front-Wrapped Style: Fasten the front ties to create a skirt-over-pants appearance.
- Asymmetric Style: Leave one side hanging for a striking, unbalanced look.

Each movement causes the fabric ties to sway elegantly, turning motion itself into part of the design’s visual poetry.

This season’s model is updated with 100% wool gabardine, enhancing softness and depth compared to the previous wool-polyester blend. The result is a richer, darker black tone and a more refined texture. With an elastic waistband and a gender-free silhouette, the piece offers both comfort and versatility.

A single pair of pants—three ways to wear—expressing the Ground Y philosophy of freedom, layering, and transformation within the language of black.
