Ralph Lauren made this coat to be worn by either a man or woman. It is tagged a Men's size Medium which is surprising since will easily fit up to an XL, and will fit a woman's XL-XXL. My parents brought 3 of these full length coats in the early - mid 80's, they paid well over £1500 each for them in America at that time so the quality and the luxury is apparent. Ralph Lauren down filled coats are some of the best made and this coat is so warm it would be perfect for the artic winters in Alaska.

My parents only wore this and the other two coats maybe 2-3 times (full days each time) in January 1987. We all remember it clearly as this was when we were unexpected snowed in under half a meter if snow overnight that left London at a stand still and it happened the night before we moved moved house. My Dad and two friends wore this and the other coats to dig out the driveways and the road of our old house and then again for the new home we were moving to - with the assistance of the local Council snow ploughs after my dad placed an SOS call for help as the removal vans couldn't get through the 2 miles of road/hills from one house to the other.
