Rag & Bone “Standard Issue” Trainer – High Top Canvas (2014 Production Model)
Men’s Size: US 11 / EU 44
Made in Japan
In 2014, Rag & Bone of New York introduced a company-owned men’s footwear division to create the “Standard Issue” line — utilitarian, seasonless footwear grounded in heritage aesthetics, durability, and function. These were not licensed silhouettes, but fully in-house designs developed to stand the test of time.
This listing features a well-preserved high top model from that inaugural production season — an outstanding example of Rag & Bone’s early footwear craftsmanship.
Based on a 1960s-era gym trainer silhouette still manufactured today, the shoe stays true to its roots in design, quality, and comfort. Known for its reliability and long wear life, it’s a classic reinterpreted through modern materials and subtle refinement.
Key Features:
Upper: Traditional “gym” canvas — durable, breathable, and true to the roots of vintage athletic footwear.
Sole: Built using a direct injection method that permanently fuses the rubber sole to the upper. This technique avoids cement or glue, preventing delamination and ensuring a clean, lasting bond.
Lining: Lightweight, moisture-absorbent cotton for breathable comfort.
Laces: Cotton, athletic-inspired for a vintage but updated look.
Commercial Release: This high top was one of the few styles from the 2014 launch to be commercialized and sold. This pair comes with the original box, carefully stored and maintained by a private collector.
Expected to retail for around $325, the shoe blends form and function while maintaining a versatile aesthetic that pairs easily with denim, fatigues, or heritage sportswear.
