Studio Ghibli x ATARASHII GAKKO! for Hot Topic Japan.

For sale is a 100% authentic Studio Ghibli x ATARASHII GAKKO! limited edition t-shirt from the 2022 Japanese exclusive product drop in association with Hot Topic of Japan. The shirts were limited edition and exclusive to Japan at a small pop-up. They were not sold anywhere else.

This is an official Ghibli product - the famed animation studio lead by the legendary Hayao Miyazaki who created iconic films such as Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, and My Neighbour Totoro.

The shirt is a collaboration with the incredible Harajuku-based J-Pop group ATARASHII GAKKO! who've released hit singles such as Otonablue, NAINAINAI, Pineapple Kryptonite, and WOO! GO! They are represented by 88rising in much of the world.

The graphic is inspired by Kiki's Delivery Service - the 1989 animated feature by Studio Ghibli which also happens to be the most favoured Ghibli film by each of the four AG! members.

This shirt is new, never worn or tried on. The shirt was only released in this size which is tagged a Large. There were no other size options produced.

The approximate measurements taken by me are below:

Pit to pit is 21"
Shoulder to shoulder is 19 1/2"
Sleeve length from shoulder down is 8 3/4"
Rear length from top of collar down to bottom of shirt is 28 3/4"

100% cotton. Printed on a double-tagged Japanese Printstar blank. Extremely nice heavyweight blank and super high quality screen print that feels like it's apart of the shirt. It's quite unlike anything I've seen in the West.

This t-shirt was purchased brand new by me at the Studio Ghibli & Hot Topic Japan Harajuku Collective pop up event when I was recently visiting the country.

Please note - the shirt photographed hanging on the wall is my personal one that I later cut the tag on and began rocking myself. The one you will receive is an extra one I bought which is brand new sealed in the original bag.

This was an extremely limited capsule and sold out in 2022.

The first two photos are stock images. The last two photos are from social media of Mizyu modelling the top and what the display looked like at the pop up event.
