For all those old (or new school throwback) Jordan fans looking for something different that ABSOLUTELY no one else has- this is IT! I spent time searching literally everywhere for a listing of ANY kind for this specific leather Jordan jacket (I remember how hard it was for me to get it back THEN when it was first released in the early 90’s & how long I had to wait for it!
I couldn’t even find ONE available online anywhere in the US. The ONLY place I found one was a listing from somewhere in Asia! I had to translate the description to English so I could read and compare it to mine and the condition it’s in (genuinely only work maybe two, max 3 times! You’ll notice the “Pin” that once held the tag, is still attached to the tag - I never took it off!
It honestly sat in my closet, inside the protective garment bag I had it in all these years. Absolutely NOTHING wrong with it. I love this jacket and always have- especially because nobody else ever had it and for whatever lucky reason, I guess because of the time I bought it and it’s release date plus the additional fees I had to pay for the specific size and limited jacket- it was probably nearly impossible for anyone to find one in CA?! But great for me!!!! It was always the piece I could wear knowing it’d be the conversation starter amongst my friends and…. All Jordan throwback fans because they DO know how hard it is to find one THEN, and impossible now!.. I tried to price it fairly for what it is and the condition it’s in currently. If someone put new tags on it, it really would appear as if it has never been worn. As far as purchasing one sight unseen with photos that can be super old or taken years ago-who knows if the listing I found in Asia (with a price listed in yen)-IF it was even the real thing VS a knock off!!! I do know it’s worth what I am asking; however I am also up for offers-Just please, don’t lowball me.
YES- I am the Original and ONLY owner of this jacket- I had to special order it from my all time favorite mom and pop sports apparel store (which no longer exists 😢). I can remember waiting SO LONG for it to come in to the store! In listing it, (btw- my now 21 year old daughter who’s studying Art, Design, Textiles and Fashion at a private but top tier university is the one who recommended that I use this site to sell it on (guaranteeing it’s authenticity so as to find a buyer who truly understands and appreciates the jacket for what it is AND, will therefore take care of it, value it (and not make lowball offers-thinking it’s just a regular leather coat; instead of a gorgeous, rare, almost new, perfect condition original throwback of the greatest player of all time) so will love it as much as I do. I’m glad she told me about the app! Not only is it the perfect audience BUT, now I know where to look for items I’ve been searching for forever that I want!!
I have NOT Seen ANY available in the US for YEARS! So, I priced it under the only available price I could find though because of the rarity, size and condition, I could probably sell it for much more; I’d rather sell it to someone who will care for it as much as I have! Plus, I bought it WAY TOO BIG for me but, that was the style back then. And - it’s also a “big and tall,” size, because I wanted to make sure that it would be long enough for my torso (I’m a 6 foot tall woman, so…. It’d be perfect for someone needing or wanting a Double-X (XXL), who either wants it on the larger size or would prefer the “big and tall,” size so that it’s both long enough (below waist quite a bit) and enough room inside for either a huskier size person OR, would want to wear layers/hoodies/etc underneath and still have tons of room.
(EXAMPLE: I asked my brother to try it on so I could compare it to his size and describe it accurately so I would know how it would fit/look on a XXL big/tall-ish frame. My brother is a husky, 6’4, 250-ish pound guy. He’s not overweight so much but does have extremely wide shoulders and is your typical construction looking guy who regularly lifts weights). Hopefully this gives you a better sense of how it fits/what it looks like on. Even for someone of his size (he does typically wear XXL or XXXL big and tall, because regular XXL sizes usually aren’t long enough for his torso/arm length/shoulders). It is long enough for his arms with room to spare and, as far as the length- the jacket hangs approximately to the end of his fingertips… just about covers his jeans to the ends of the pants pocket. On myself, it hangs probably midway between my waist and just above my knees. Though aside from my height and arm length, it’s far too big because I’m a slim/athletic sized woman with no bulky arms, shoulders or midsection. Hope this helps!? As long as I’ve owned it, it’s always been well maintained and cared for. I have only worn it a couple of times. Needless to say, it’s Like new. No marks, rips, indentations, tears or fading. All care tags, brand tags, item names/descriptions/numbers and care instructions are still attached a sown in where they belong (Jordan label and size under the back collar-see photo and, care instructions/garment details are on tag sewn in to the inner side of the jacket; on the left side, about upper waist high so it doesn’t get in the way or, uncomfortably rub against any skin or clothing. The original “2- Three Jordan” patch on the left breast of the jacket is in perfect condition; no fading, lifting or fraying. The logo/patch is all black. The two, silver horizontal stripes are reflective at night- it’s really a great looking jacket that obviously with good care, will continue to last a lifetime.
Always dry cleaned and well maintained. I would also condition the leather after the dry cleaning process and before storing it in the garment bag in order to not “dry out ,” or warp/discolor the leather; so it’s retained the soft, black, high quality leather all these years. Although I probably over cared for it which is great for whoever wants it- but aside from general, regular care- it doesn’t really need any of the extra care put into it in order to remain pristine - I’m just OCD when it comes to taking care of my things(especially leather), that I own and spent quite a bit on.
**IE: I do the same thing with my leather purses, car seats / interior/etc.,for example.
It’s a full Zip up 100% leather, heavy duty jacket with four pockets total- two inside the inner lining, chest pockets and, two outside snap closure (heavy duty- they won’t come unsnapped and can fit everything with ease (wallet, keys, phone, etc) pockets- both lined inside with the same silver/grey material you see in the photos on the inside of the jacket.
XXL. Big/Tall, long (below waist, above thighs). If it still had the tags, you’d think it was new. Jordan all black outside patch on Left chest and all original labels in/on jacket. I will also have it dry cleaned before sending if you wish. It’s definitely an AWESOME, super rare, one of a kind jacket! I Ordered back in the 90’s by special order only (special edition jacket).
