“The world is full of jack asses.
They divorce many times, but always marry again. One worse than the last.
They hate kids, but always marry a woman with kids.
They hate their bosses and job, but still stay there.
They know that when they’re drunk they act like a jack ass, but everybody likes a jack ass.
(Are we all at some times jack asses?)”
Back of the Tie:
• “From Days of Yore”
• “As history unfolds, there sometimes remains a facet which survives only through the legends of local inhabitants. Names, places, and events, while not recorded, remain a part of the local history passed down through generations in fond recollections of the past. These inn signs are the product of sifting through old memories recalled of what used to be, but is no more, and the portrayal of what they might have been. In the early 1600’s, the English crown issued an edict that all inns must have a sign and a name. Today’s pubs, surviving traces of yesterday’s inns, are firmly entrenched in the history and tradition of England, and the sign of the pub has become an English landmark.”
