Yohji Yamamoto 2018-19 Fall/Winter Collection.

9-point long and wide pants with a unique extra thick and wide silhouette. There are belt loops and buckles at the waist, so the suspenders can be put on and taken off, and can be worn as suspenders. The fabric is pleated gabardine. Wrinkle GABA is a standard fabric that Yohji Yamamoto has used for decades, creating tiny wrinkles and textures during the finishing process of wool to bring out the natural texture of wool and create a beautiful drape with a falling feel. Because of the large amount of fabric, you can enjoy the beautiful falling feeling unique to pleated gabara.

【TEXTILE】
・Made from the iconic textile (wool gabardine, commonly known as wrinkled gabardine) that has been used since the brand was founded. By applying a strong texture/wrinkle effect to the yarn during the sorting process, we create the unique texture and subtle sheen that has sustained the brand for over 40 years and is synonymous with Yohji Yamamoto.

・The advantage of wool gabardine (GABA) is that the wool is densely woven to reduce the air in and out, giving the fabric excellent warmth retention. Precisely because of its high density, its surface has a beautiful, subtle luster, and it is also durable. It can be worn at any time in spring, summer, autumn and winter, and you can freely enjoy matching styles across seasons/series.

・The longer the use time, the more obvious the luster of wool becomes. It's neither too hard nor too soft, just the right amount of stiffness. This characteristic creates a beautiful drape, so pieces with longer hems and lengths will look more stylish and maximize the original texture of wool.

【DETAIL】
Yohji Yamamoto used an inner single-fold design in the design of this woolen tapered trousers to provide better mobility and make the legs visually more three-dimensional; the low-crotch design combines practicality with movement and Yohji Yamamoto’s Featured silhouette. There are two patch pockets on the back and a practical buckle design. Details such as pockets, trousers folds and trouser ears are structurally reinforced for daily practicality.
