An iconic piece from Jun Takahashi’s Fall/Winter 2006 “But Beautiful V / Guru Guru” collection, famously worn on the runway. This is the exceptionally rare black colorway, which appears far less frequently than the more commonly seen olive version.

The Scarfed Parka features a highly textured granular crepe-wool outer shell layered over a fully removable quilted liner jacket with fleece-lined sleeves. The oversized hood is fitted with a steel wire along the brim, allowing it to be shaped and styled in numerous ways, while also providing a way to secure the integrated wraparound scarf. The scarf and hood are finished with tactile faux-fur trim, creating the collection’s distinctive cocooned, armor-like silhouette.

Additional details include an off-center secondary half-zip closure, slanted flap pockets, reinforced construction, and a fishtail rear vent with adjustable drawstrings. The asymmetrical scarf panel drapes across the front and conceals the primary snap-button closure.

The piece is technically a women’s garment, though the entire “Guru Guru” collection was designed with an intentionally androgynous approach to fit and silhouette. This particular parka is increasingly difficult to find complete, with many surviving examples missing the scarf, buttons, or drawstrings. This example is fully intact and includes all original components.

One of the more distinctive and collectible outerwear pieces from the “Guru Guru” collection, with a level of construction and detailing that makes it particularly notable among Undercover’s archival parkas.
