A severe pair of tall black leather officer-style boots, likely dating to the 1940s. The leather carries a deep, worn surface with visible scuffs, creasing and age-darkened areas, while the shafts have become noticeably stiff around the ankles from decades of storage and use. German-made Excelsior heel pieces remain fitted to the soles, adding another period detail to the pair.

The boots measure 28 cm / 11.0 in along the insole and 30 cm / 11.8 in along the outsole; (EU ≈42.5-43). They come with an old tin of Soviet black shoe polish, a fitting companion piece that reinforces the utilitarian, post-war character of the set.
