garment-milled and heavily distressed jacket in felted, undyed rich brown alpaca, with a beautiful bouclé texture and a cashmere-soft handle. the care label identifies the fabric simply as wool, but it is clearly alpaca. fine silver-coloured nylon filaments run throughout the fabric, giving it an occasional sparkle.

an A-line silhouette, cut looser towards the hem, with a fitted chest and oversized sleeves. a unique asymmetric placket with four natural horn buttons set in a straight vertical line — the opening sweeps across the body rather than meeting at the centre. angled welt pocket at the left chest. two side pockets with flaps. no back vent. unlined, with deliberate fraying at the edges as part of the original design.

size marked Medium. measurements taken flat with the jacket buttoned: armpit to armpit 52 cm, front length 72 cm, back length 69 cm, shoulder 45 cm, outside sleeve 68 cm, inside sleeve 43 cm.

94% wool, 6% nylon. made in Japan.

excellent pre-owned condition, with no apparent flaws.
