Rare British Army 1902 Pattern Greatcoat (WWI–Interwar)

Offered here is an original British Army 1902 Pattern greatcoat, made from heavy rough serge wool with partial linen lining — the standard issue throughout World War I and well into the 1920s–1930s.

This example retains its full set of original buttons, marked TAWO (Thiele & Asmußen, Wuppertal), a known interwar-period military contractor. A spare replacement button is still sewn inside, showing sharper casting detail and additional markings (three stars and “B”).
