This piece is the renowned Neo-Tokyo camouflage MA-1 flight jacket produced by independent label Rough Simmons, directly referencing Raf Simons' legendary Autumn/Winter 2001-2002 'Riot, Riot, Riot!' camo bomber. Instead of Manic Street Preachers and Richey Edwards patches, Rough Simmons swaps in imagery from Katsuhiro Otomo's seminal cyberpunk anime Akira, including Tetsuo and Neo-Tokyo motifs. Constructed from a heavy twill camouflage shell with rescue-orange quilted nylon lining, it captures the oversized military aesthetic popularized in 2000s archival streetwear. Released around 2019-2020 in limited quantities, these jackets quickly became collector items among streetwear and anime enthusiasts alike.
