The Body of Work and Mephisto Match returns in Ink/Black celebrating our continued partnership with the iconic French footwear brand. Handcrafted in Sarrebourg, France from the finest Italian suede, the Body of Work & Mephisto Match is a best-in-class, high-performing walking shoe.

The tonal exterior features a rich black hue, accented by an entirely black rubber outsole achieved with custom injection molding, a first for the Match model. The interior is lined with a full-grain black leather and the tongue features a subtle embossed Body of Work logo. Each pair is brought to life through a process involving 160 precise steps, performed by 18 expert craftspeople, all of whom train for over three years before crafting their first pair. This level of dedication ensures a standard of excellence that is both rare and enduring.

Handcrafted in small batches by skilled artisans, the Match in Ink/Black unifies Body of Work and Mephisto's shared appreciation for beauty, craftsmanship and functionality.

Founded in 1965, Mephisto has been crafting the world's finest footwear for over 60 years and continues to lead in pioneering handmade footwear by master shoemakers.
