Seller Description
ARCHIVE DESIGNER / EARLY 2000s / HEDI SLIMANE–ERA AESTHETIC
Beautiful black virgin wool suit by Nicolas Andreas Taralis, reflecting the distinctive aesthetic of the early years of his Paris-based label, established in 2004.
Before launching his eponymous brand, Nicolas Andreas Taralis worked alongside Hedi Slimane at Dior Homme during one of the most influential periods in contemporary menswear.
That influence is immediately recognizable in this suit: a sharp, elongated silhouette, a beautifully fitted waist, structured shoulders, narrow lapels, a cropped single-button jacket and slim, elegantly tapered trousers.
A particularly refined example of minimalist designer tailoring, combining understated elegance, precise proportions and a distinctly early-2000s aesthetic.
The 100% virgin wool fabric is comfortable to wear and drapes beautifully.
VERSATILITY & STYLING
One of the best features of this suit is that both pieces work equally well together or independently.
The jacket looks particularly good styled with jeans, creating a sharp yet relaxed silhouette that perfectly captures the spirit of early Dior Homme.
The trousers are equally versatile and can be worn separately with classic leather dress shoes for a more formal look or with sneakers for a contemporary, understated outfit.
Both pieces can easily become wardrobe staples, offering far more styling possibilities than a traditional formal suit.
CONDITION — EXCELLENT OVERALL
Jacket:
Worn occasionally and always separately from the trousers.
Professionally dry-cleaned and never worn again since.
Beautifully preserved, perfectly clean and in excellent overall condition.
Trousers:
Completely brand new and never worn.
The original hems have never been finished, allowing the new owner to have the trousers tailored to their preferred length.
MINOR CONDITION DETAIL — FULL DISCLOSURE
There is one very minor detail worth mentioning.
A small section of stitching has come undone inside the jacket's right-hand pocket.
This is NOT a hole, and there is absolutely no damage to the fabric itself.
It is simply an interior seam that needs to be restitched.
The issue is completely invisible from the outside when the jacket is worn and has no effect on its appearance.
An easy and straightforward repair for any tailor.

FIT REFERENCE — PLEASE READ
For reference, I am 180 cm (5'11") tall and currently weigh 69 kg (152 lbs).
As shown in the fit pictures, the suit is now slightly too small for me due to its particularly slim, close-fitting construction.
In my opinion, it would ideally suit someone with a slender build, approximately 63–66 kg (139–146 lbs)
Please note that this is a tagged size 46, but the cut is distinctly slim, characteristic of early-2000s designer tailoring.
I strongly recommend checking the detailed measurements to ensure the best fit.
FINAL NOTES
A beautiful and increasingly uncommon example of Nicolas Andreas Taralis tailoring, with a clear connection to the influential minimalist aesthetic of Hedi Slimane's Dior Homme era.
Elegant, versatile and exceptionally well proportioned.
A great addition to any wardrobe focused on archival designer fashion, minimalist tailoring or early-2000s menswear.
